Bay Area Fishery – Delta, Bay, and Ocean Waters
Our targeted species charters are available in three different ares.
California Delta
The California Delta covers thousands of miles of waterways. It is a truly unique fishery because there are so many different areas to catch Striped Bass, Black bass, Sturgeon, Catfish, Crappie, Bluegills, River Salmon, and American Shad. Early spring and late fall is the best time to catch a striper in this area. Sturgeon, catfish, and panfish fishing in the Delta is year-round.
The Bay
The Bay is one of the largest estuaries on the West Coast and is teeming with diverse species from Chinook (King) Salmon, Striped Bass, Halibut, and Lingcod to Sturgeon and more than 11 species of sharks. Many of these guys stick around all year, making it hard to pick a bad time for fishing in the bay.
Outside the Golden Gate
Deep-sea fishing remains a classic choice among anglers looking for Salmon, Rockfish, Lingcod, and more beyond the Golden Gate. You can also troll for many tasty treats, or try mooching for Salmon, Halibut, and Striped Bass—a slow, serene form of drift fishing that local fishermen find especially rewarding.
